Our 2024 Season is just around the corner and we are running two weeks of easter cricket camps for young cricketers aged between 5 and 14

The camps are for both boys and girls aged 5‐14 and all age groups will be accommodated as appropriate. Coaching will be provided in all key skills areas, and will include (As appropriate for the age and ability of participant):

• Batting: grip and stance, front foot drive, pull shot, cut, sweep, improvisation
• Bowling: run up, action, seam bowling, spin bowling.
• Fielding, throwing, catching.

Some instruction in captaincy and leadership will be given to players of appropriate ability.

Each day will include a match like scenario to enable participants to put what they have learned into practice. The programme for each session will be designed to meet the needs of the course participants.

At the beginning of each session participants will be grouped according to experience. Coaching will be led by England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) level 2 qualified coaches (or equivalent).

Coaches carry full DBS checks, and have attended courses in first aid and child protection and are accomplished cricketers. The coaching team at Oxford CC has great experience and many young players have gone on to play county, district, and even professional cricket.
Coach to player ratio will strictly follow ECB guidelines.

Oxford CC is an ECB focus club, has Cubmark Status, and adopts the ECB Safehands and Child protection policies. All our courses place a strong emphasis on physical fitness, injury prevention and technical development. Each player will be given suitable programmes of exercise specifically tailored to cricket related fitness.

Attendees need to bring along appropriate Sporting clothing and footwear, along with their cricket kit. As well as a hat, sun cream, rain jacket etc depending on weather. Finally, they need to bring along a lunch, snacks, plenty of drinks and hand sanitizer.

We will ask junior to bring their own equipment where they can, if equipment is needed to be borrowed, we have some batting equipment that can be given out

The course has two streams, for younger and older players:

1st - 5th April
8th - 12th April


Days run from 09:00-12:00 for morning half day, 12.30-15.30 for afternoon half day and 09:00-15:30 for a full day.
